What is JUST WATER?
Just water is ethically sourced and environmentally friendly water. Environmentally friendly water?
Yes, there is such a thing. Obviously the water has to arrive in a container and JUST water not only has ethically claimed water, it comes in a package with a cap made from sugarcane and the container is paper based!
According to a News Release, spokespeople for JUST WATER had this to say:
The 100% spring water comes from the Glens Falls watershed, which is protected through a landmark ethically sourced water agreement between JUST and Glens Falls, New York. JUST will pay six times the municipal rate for the water it uses, while ensuring that total usage is less than three percent of the excess watershed.
In addition to the landmark ethically sourced water agreement, JUST water is debuting in the U.S. a unique paper-based bottle from Tetra Pak. The paper is certified according to the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) standard which guarantees both traceability and the responsible management of the forests, where new trees replace the ones that are harvested.
The Just Water Difference
Just Water is spring water from the Glen Falls watershed and it meets the quality standards of all 50 states.
There are a few types of water that are commonly sold:
- Spring Water– as we just described comes from a spring. Just Water claimsit’s water comes from a specific spring.
- Artesian water– Comes from an Artesian well. In an artesian well the water in the aquifer must be under sufficient pressure to force it up the well to a level that is higher than the top of the aquifer.
- Purified Water– Purified water can come from anywhere. Purified water must undergo a process to remove any dangerous chemicals or other contaminants.

First, the bottle itself is made from a paper based material. This renewable container is made mostly from plant based material, getting just 18% of its composition from traditional plastic or aluminum.
Second, the container itself is recyclable anywhere in the United States that carton recycling is available.
Next, the container is BPA free!

The name itself implies that the product is “just water”. As you can see this product is anything but that. For those of us that care even a little about others or the environment, this product has several benefits. Outside of the water’s excellent water analysis, it has a very small environmental impact.
