The City of Oldsmar Florida
I have lived in Oldsmar Florida and close by for many years now. What I love about the area is that not only is it beautiful, there is plenty to do without being in the middle of a much larger city.Oldsmar is right in the thick of things, especially if you have a way to get around. The map below should give you an idea of where Oldsmar is in relation to other cities.
How far is Oldsmar from other cities?
Oldsmar is attractive to visit, especially if you are used to cold weather. Sometimes however, you might wonder how far you might be from other attractions. To give you an idea of how close you really are, here are some very popular destinations in and around the Oldsmar area.
First up, Oldsmar Florida to Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida.
Busch Gardens is a theme park with several thrilling rides, a ton of festival and other attractions. There are events all year at Busch Gardens, rain out guarantees and add ons such as their Safari tours.
In addition, they have annual special events. So far we have seen the Goo Goo Dolls and T.L.C. in concert at Busch Gardens for only the price of admission.
While Busch Gardens is in Tampa, it is not far from Oldsmar. In fact, Adventure Island, the water park, is also right next door! Here is the map from Oldsmar to Busch Gardens for reference.
The total distance calculated here is 18 miles, or roughly 30 minutes.
How Close is Oldsmar to the Beach?
One of the most famous beaches in the area is Clearwater Beach. That area stays busy almost year round. With Shepard’s Beach Resort and Tropix Beach Bar (don’t forget to try their Rum Runners) located at the Quality Inn almost next door, there is plenty of to do and see there.
Again, it is a hop, skip and jump to the beach from Oldsmar if you have a way to get there.
Once again, the trip is roughly 30 minutes by car. Traffic permitting.
But, that’s not even the closest beach.
Oldsmar FL to Honeymoon Island
Honeymoon Island is a beautiful state park with white sandy beaches. They have a dog park, they have places to eat and of course the beautiful Florida weather.
This beach will take you roughly 15 to 20 minutes to get to from Oldsmar. If you are the type to prefer a nice day at the beach with family, or even your pets, this is the beach to visit!
Things to do in Oldsmar
You would think that a town sort of caught in between other towns might not have much to do…. You would be wrong!
It is precisely because this city is situated in close proximity to other, large cities that makes this is hub.
There are a plenty of hotels in and around Oldsmar. The number of restaurants available and the type, is amazing.
There are festivals here or nearby very often. The nightlife is incredible. You will even find a pretty nice sized flea market right here.
