Xmark International Olympic Weight Bench Review

Xmark International Olympic Weight Bench with Preacher Curl and Leg extension Attachment Review

No home gym is complete without a weight bench, so in 2016 we purchased the Xmark International Olympic Weight Bench online. If you would rather check out the video, just scroll to the bottom of the page and you can see a short review of the actual weight bench in my rather messy garage.

We received the bench and its associated parts within 2 or 3 days of ordering it online. Thankfully all the parts were included and the directions were clear and easy to read. I am not particularly handy (and neither is my son) so it did take us around 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours to put it all together using just hand tools. If you have some power tools handy you will probably cut the assembly time significantly.

Pros of the Xmark International Olympic Weight Bench

As I said the Xmark international Olympic weight bench came with everything needed to put it together, even if you are not much of an assembler.

It has a 700 pound weight tolerance which is more than enough for all but the strongest of us.

It allows you to work all of your major muscle groups via the Bench, the Squat Attachment, the Preacher curl attachment and the leg extension attachment. The Squat attachments can even be turned towards the bench so you can perform seated military presses.

The bench is adjustable so you can perform incline and bench presses as well.

Solid and sturdy build.

We have been using this for 2 years now and it shows no sign of wearing out.

Cons of the Xmark International Olympic Weight Bench

You do have to put it together yourself, so if you lack the aptitude or the tools to complete the job you may have to have someone do it for you.

It does take up a bit of space so unless you have plenty of room in your garage or a dedicated room in your home, this is not the type of product that you can just fold and roll away.

You have to purchase the bar and weights separately. Unlike some home gyms the resistance is not included.

Results using the Xmark International Olympic Weight Bench

I use the bench and its features just to stay active. My son on the other hand has really focused on building his strength over the last few months.

By focusing on strength exercises and increasing his calorie intake slightly above maintenance level he has improved on all his major lifts significantly.

For example, he was able to increase his bench press from 205lbs to 270lbs. He improved his squat from 235lbs to 345lbs and even his dead-lift improved from 300lbs to over 400lbs.

*The bench is not required for dead-lift purposes but the improvement in leg strength and upper body strength certainly helped him with this lift also.

OVERALL Review

If you have the room, can put together the bench and are serious about working out, I highly recommend the Xmark International Olympic Bench setup.

It has everything you need (minus the actual weights) to do all the core exercises with just an Olympic barbell and some plates. You can always add dumbbells and other pieces to your collection over time.

Please see the video below to see it fully assembled in real life! If you would like to purchase this setup, you can find it on Amazon right HERE.
