Bulletproof Backpack Test Results

ABC Action News did a test on the Bulletproof backpack and found that it could resist rounds fired from a handgun. However, they also found that the rounds fired from an AR-15, still penetrated the protection of the pack.

Ryan Hart, a certified firearms instructor still recommended the backpack.

While it did not stop a direct shot from an assault rifle it can still stop bullet fragments, ricochets, glass flying through the air.

Should You Buy a Bulletproof Backpack for Kids

This is an interesting question.

Should we depend on school resources officers to lay down their life for your child?

While most school resources officers are supposed to “serve and protect” they might not arrive in time or they might not arrive at all.

Should we depend on teachers (armed or unarmed) to lay down their life for your child?

If they do confront the shooter, will that save your child?

Because we do not know how someone might react to a life and death situation we can never be sure what the end result might be.

Can we depend on partisan lawmakers to protect our kids?

Is it likely that someone else will do anything to make sure your kids get home at the expense of their personal safety?

I do not have the answer to that.

Therefore, it is probably in the best interest of the child for the parent to do what they can to offer them a measure of protection.

While most of us want to believe others will protect our kids, it really comes down to the parents.
