Marketing Boost Review

Are you looking for an incentive marketing program for your small business?

Growing up in the family business I know how hard it was to compete with bigger and more established restaurants for the same customers. The idea that just having a good product will lead to you being found is not always true. If it were that easy, no one would be spending millions of advertising dollars during the Super Bowl. Luckily Marketing Boost makes it much easier to create a program that is inexpensive and easy to manage. Don’t get me wrong, its not some magic pill. You have to implement it the right way or you might set of your clients “too good to be true” alarm which is never a good thing.

Don’t worry, we will cover everything the program has to offer and resources so you can execute your program. One more thing, you don’t need to own a business to use MarketingBoost, you can use it in just about any industry. Even if you work for someone else or are trying to get your “side gig” going.

What is Marketing Boost?

MarketingBoost is an incentive marketing program designed to give individuals and small businesses tools that increase interest in their products or services. An incentive marketing program is just a motivational device to generate additional revenue.

The crown jewel of MarketingBoost is their travel incentive program. This program allows you to give away resort vacations to customers and potential customers. The travel incentive can be used in any industry and you can give away trips to as many people as you like. While the travel incentive is the most popular feature there are two more ways to incentivize or reward your customers.

Tools Available

They have a program called “Dining Guru” that allows you to give discount vouchers to customers that they can use all over the USA and Canada. The vouchers come in $100, $200 and $300 increments and the client “purchases” the deal they like with the voucher you provided.

The last tool they provide for you is their BookVIP Plus feature. This is a travel booking engine very similar to Expedia or Kayak that allows the customer to choose from over 1 MILLION hotels WORLDWIDE. The prices are up to 70% cheaper than most popular travel sites. Again, you give out voucher of $100, $200, $300 to these customers to use on the site.

2. Dining Guru discount program in $100, $200 and $300 denominations

Three Different Incentive Marketing Tools at your Disposal

How Does Marketing Boost Work?

MarketingBoost.com requires a subscription to take advantage of these incentive programs. You can choose for annual memberships, which save you money in the long run, or you can pay monthly. The least expensive monthly fee is just $37! For just $37 you can still give away as many vacations as you like and you have access to the other incentives also.

The best part of this is you get a 7 day free trial! That’s right, you can sign up and send yourself on a vacation and then cancel the service within 7 days and you do not pay a nickel for the program. That said, this feature was abused in the past and at one point stopped the free trial. What I am saying is, sign up now and try it out!

Giving Vacation Incentives to you Clients Demo

Note: Marketing Boost started out as Advertising Bait then rebranded again to Advertising Boost. This was due to feedback from members. Also Redeem Vacations is mentioned from time to time, it is a portal where the customer can input their activation code for their complimentary resort stay.

The demo below has some of the old branding but it shows you how easy it is to manage the travel incentive program. As you can see, I am not a professional video marketer but it goes to show you anyone can use Marketing Boost. There are people having success that go completely “low tech” by handing out printable cards, doing raffles etc. The only limitation is your own imagination,

The process really is just as simple as logging into your Marketing Boost dashboard and typing in the email address of the person you want to send the vacation to. This process takes no technical skill at all. You can also bulk upload emails with an excel file and send out multiple incentives and you can even automate the process. There is support available for those that want to automate the process that doesn’t require a coding expert.

Is Marketing Boost an Effective Incentive Marketing Tool?

Restaurant owner review of MarketingBoost

In my opinion I feel that Marketing Boost is extremely effective as an incentive marketing tool. Of course, it comes down to your creativity and how you implement the incentives offered with the product. In the opening of this review I mentioned that my family owned restaurants for most of my life, so the testimonial given in the video really resonates with me. This is an extremely competitive business with low profit margin, long hours and tight marketing budgets. Yet this owner was able to implement the program and increased sales with his creative approach. But don’t take my word for it, what the video or take a peek at some of the other testimonials.

Incentive Marketing is Used by Huge Corporations

Incentive marketing is not new and some of the most successful companies use them to build sales and recurring business. The McDonald’s happy meal is a great example of a company that gives away a toy with their “Happy Meal”. Those of us with kids know how powerful this branding is, especially when you are on long road trips and the kids are hungry and bored.

They aren’t the only ones to use this strategy. Ever heard of airline miles? The credit card industry uses this very effectively to drive repeated use of their product. If we just charge enough stuff, eventually it will pay off, right? Again, how you use it is up to you!

How might a the 3 night getaway work for a client that is pricing some home remodeling projects? You get the sale and you get the family out of the house for 4 days and 3 nights so you can get the work done! Talk about a Win/Win!

What’s the Catch is it a Scam or Timeshare promotion?

No, Marketing Boost is not a scam or timeshare promotion. They have a FAQ page that covers most of the questions you might have about the program. But I will answer a few questions you might have right here. First of all, Marketing Boost is run by the same people who run BookVIP. If you are not familiar with them you can see my review of BookVIP here, who I have used multiple times. That is probably where the timeshare issue comes from.

But, I want to be clear about something. BookVIP and Marketing Boost (formerly Advertising Boost) are separate programs. They operate separately and differently meaning there is no timeshare presentation requirement for these free vacation packages. That said, when the user arrives at their destination, the hotel may OFFER them multiple upgrades and gifts. There is no pressure involved but if the client says yes they will be required to attend the presentation. Best way to avoid that is just to say NO to the timeshare presentation and enjoy the free vacation!

Fees and Taxes

Does the customer have to pay any fees? That depends. There are resort fees and taxes due for these vacation packages. Taxes may be $15-$20 per night and resort fees can be $5 per night up to $30 per night. The resorts in Mexico are anywhere from $10-$20 per night. Before I go on, I want to let you know that the customer getting “free” travel often has to pay for fees. For example, credit cards that offer “free airline miles” require the customer to pay all fees and taxes too! These are billion dollar companies by the way.

Similarly, anyone that has won a car or the lottery has to pay taxes and any associated fees with their prize. Are they scams? Is that a catch? I don’t think so, becasue there are millions of people that use these airline miles quite happily. If you can find one person that isn’t happy winning a car or the lottery, they will be the first!

One of the reasons is the cost of the flight is free, saving them hundreds of dollars. The same applies here. You are sending the customer to resorts that charge $250+ per night and $350+ per night for international travel. Nevertheless, there are multiple ways to minimize and eliminate the fees if you are creative.

Challenges with Marketing Boost

The number one challenge is fully understanding the product on day one. If you buy an ad in the local paper, you know exactly what you are getting. If you buy a website, you know what it should look like. With Marketing Boost, not only does it offer three different tools to build you business, each tool has many choices. Then you have to implement the program in a way that gets results. Finally, you have the “too good to be true” mindset I mentioned very early on.

This all go back to the first challenge, knowing your product. This can and has been overcome by thousands of people all thanks to the training and support of the MarketingBoost.com team. I’ll give you an example of what being creative with your strategy means.

Creating Value

One thing that sets off the “scam alert” is when the end user is getting an impossible offer. As we know by now, it is very real and very possible, but the user does not know that. Your job is to create a PERCEPTION that this is not EASY for you to offer. Therefore, if you offer a customer in your restaurant a free vacation for buying a value meal, there is no way they will think it is legitimate.

Who is going to give away a $1500 value for a $15 meal? On the other hand, lets say your restaurant is in Tallahassee Florida. Implementing a frequent diner program that sends the customer to Orlando for 4 days and 3 nights is FAR easier to digest and more realistic. In addition, the loyalty program encourages them to come back more often and the shorter domestic stay reduces the impact of any taxes and fees!

Conclusion to my Marketing Boost Review

For people looking for an inexpensive and effective incentive marketing program, Marketing Boost is at the very least a must try! With a 7-day FREE trial and a very low membership rate there is no risk involved in the product. Also, the people that work for Marketing Boost are as invested in your success with the program as you are. That being the case, they are fast to respond to questions and concerns in case you haven’t been able to find the answers in their resources section.

Lastly, the most overlooked benefit of Marketing Boost is the ability to give yourself all of these benefits. You get to give yourself a vacation that can save you thousands of dollars and then you can send yourself, your friends and your family, vouchers that give yourself steep discounts on hotels all over the world as well as on products you already use everyday.

There is not much more to say besides, try it for yourself and see. If you have any questions visit my social media pages and ask away. Or you can send me an email at info@thebodyfollows.com.
